RE: Combat Operations Upon Central Empire Highway 07/05/05
In a gallant and quite frankly brutal set of engagements, both Bob0 Monkies and Lordless sustained losses in a series of running skirmishes stretching from Perimeter Gate in Niyabeinen, through to Kemerk gate in Yulai.
Following the loss of the firt Lordless blackbird and a rupture (unreported above) and the unexpected jump-in of a raven and later a scorpion on top of the now-downed bob0 Typhoon, forces were deployed in chase as the now damaged but still dangerous Lordless squadron made for the highway to Yulai.
They were engaged in the system of Kemerk, with their forces split between remaining in Kemerk and jumping through to Yulai, allowing the Bob0 taskforce to annihilate a raven and a scorpion class battleship, along with another hostile cruiser. While in celebration, the bob0's forces drifted out of position and searched for the pods, allowing a second scorpion pilot to escape and disengage his pod-operating system (OOC: or however the hell we say logoff in Corp Summit. However, it was getting pretty late, so we dont blame him).
A bob0's Brutix jumped through to Yulai, and observed the retreating shattered remnants of the Lordless group hurrying to their station, although at least one brave Lordless podcaptain returned to the Kemerk gate in a third blackbird, which was subsquently destroyed by the lone bob0's battlecruiser.
Bob0 count for the night agrees with our losses as stated above, Typhoon and two wolves, but would like to note that bob0's claimed 5 cruisers (a rupture and a third blackbird as well as those listed above) and two battleships. Loot garnered from the Raven included E500 nos and malkuth seige, which was greatly appreciated. Commendations are awarded, and respect given, to the Lordless pilots who engaged multiple times, even when the rest of their force was routed.
